Santa's Village

These are pictures from our hallway!! Jr. Kindergarten did the Reindeer Stable, Kindergarten did the Gingerbread Houses and First Grade made Santa's Workshop! One of our Jr. kindergarten teachers even decorated our office door with naughty (coal) and nice (presents)!! It is AMAZING!!! For part of our workshop, we had the kids fill out elf applications (which we found from Pinterest!) and took their pictures as elves! So cute!
Tuesday we are having a special day where all six classes will rotate between all of us and we, the teachers, will be doing an activity with each group!! Some activities planned include making reindeer food(measurement), gingerbread man sight words, a Santa writing activity and several more!! This is the second year we have done this and it is so much fun working with the other kids, not just the ones in my class!! Plus the kids get a break from me, too!! I know the kids will have a blast, and that's what it's all about!!

Santa's workshop

Our Jr. Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and First Grade teachers are transforming our hallway into Santa's village!! This is a few pictures of my part. I will post more pictures later when everything is completed!! In case you are wondering, I am not allowed to put anything on my door, because according to the Fire Marshall, it might catch on fire. So I just went around the door!!

Pumpkin explosion!!

I owe a big Thanks to our youth minister at church for doing this experiment at our youth retreat! It was so cool, I knew I had to try this experiment with my kids at school!! We put about 250-300 rubberbands around the middle of the pumpkin! It literally cut the pumpkin in half! The top half flew up and the bottom half landed on the ground! The kids loved it!

Our class was "boooooooed"!!!

Today, some sneaky little kids came in and "boooooed" our classroom!! We got a trick and a treat! They put toilet paper everywhere (I said we were mummified!). And they left us a bag of treats! Inside the bag were halloween pencils and candy for my students! Thank you to our mystery ghosts!!! Now it is our turn to "booo" another class!!!

My kids are showing their surprised faces, but they loved it!!!
