Read Across America Bulletin Board

I love this board because it was all made by the kids! The little books are based on "Oh, the Places You'll Go". Since a lot of kids get this as a graduation present, we changed it to Oh, the Places I'll Go and the students wrote about what they want to be when they grow up! They did a really great job! For the big book, each student wrote about their favorite book! I have tried to display a different page each day!

Dr. Seuss

Each classroom in our hallway had the kids paint hot air balloons and they were all floating down the hall! Our Jr. Kindergarten teachers made us all some truffula trees for our doors! We turned the first graders into Thing 1 and Thing 2 and had them write about the Things coming to their house!

This one above was one of my favorites because he said he would ask them where they got their hair done! So funny!

Hibernation Day!

In February, we talked about hibernation! This year we made these cool bear caves! We used the shaving cream and glue mixture but we added a little black paint to make it gray! It's hard to tell from the pictures but the caves are puffy. We also made a giant cave out of our desks and read books in our cave!

Winter Fun!

We studied about penguins and then made these cute penguins
that I found on Pinterest!

We also have an in-school snow day where we do lots of winter activities! We do some snow writing, read some snow books, have a snowball fight, make some life size snowmen (with toilet paper) and my favorite, make some snow globes!

Fun with numbers!

We had mystery numbers on our heads! We had to ask questions to figure out what our numbers were!

Little behind!!

Well, here it is already March and I haven't posted since Christmas! Oops! It has been a little crazy with the end of basketball and now my boys are already playing Varsity tennis and jr high baseball! Thankfully softball for Hallie hasn't started yet or I think I might go crazy! And of course all that doesn't include all the other church and school activities!! I love my crazy busy world!! Also, I am really excited that my nephew, Tyler was baptized tonight! What a wonderful decision he has made!! Now I will try to catch my blog up over the next couple of days!
